Bangalore International Airport Devanahalli

The new Bengaluru International Airport is located in Devanahalli (see pictures below). It is 40 km (25 mi) from the Bangalore city and 30 kilometres (19 mi) outside the city limits of Bangalore. Construction of the airport began in July 2005, after a decade long postponement and completed in March 2008. The new airport started its operations on the night of 23 May 2008, just before midnight.
