NIFT 2009 Entrance Exam Dates, Courses, Eligibility

The National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts an entrance test for the students aspiring to make their career in Fashion Design, Leather Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design, Communication Design, and Apparel Production like courses. The admission to the institute is purely based on the merit obtained in the Entrance test and then GD/ Interview which is conducted for the successful candidates.

Courses Offer:

Bachelor Courses :

i. Fashion Design
ii. Leather Design
iii. Accessory Design
iv. Textile Design
v. Knitwear Design
vi. Communication Design
vii. Apparel Production

Master Courses :

i. M.F.Tech Design Space
ii. Fashion Management
iii. Apparel Production

Eligibility criteria For Bachelor Courses :

i. The candidate should have cleared his 10+2 exam from a recognized board OR
ii. The candidate should have done 3-4 year diploma from a recognized university.
iii. The candidate should have studied PCM at the 10+2 level or in Diploma (for the candidates who have done diploma after their 10th)
iv. The candidate should have a pass grade in the senior secondary exam conducted by the National open School with a minimum of five subjects.

~ Online available application forms : 24th Nov, 2008 – 31st Dec, 2008
~ Last date to submit the forms : 7th Jan, 2009
~ Admit cards available from : 31st Jan, 2009
~ Commencement of exam : 8th Feb, 2009
~ esult of exam : Mid March, 2009
~ GD/ Interview : April – May, 2009
