www.bhojvirtualuniversity.com is the official website of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University (MPBOU). MPBOU was established in 1991 under an act by the State Legislature. The University named after the renowned Raja Bhoj is the second largest open university in India.The objectives are common with those of any other open university.

It is the aim of this university to spread and promote higher education among the underprivileged, and among those to whom conventional education has not reached. Education is imparted through the open and distance learning (ODL) mode. Democratizing education by making it cost effective is another of its objective. Keeping these objectives in mind the MPBOU has set up study centers in remote rural areas where there are no conventional study center up to about 30 km.
